Roberta Maloney

Roberta A. Maloney, 57, of Geneva, Indiana, passed away at 3:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, at her residence in Geneva, Indiana.

She was born on Friday, Oct. 21, 1960, in Portland, Indiana. She married Larry Maloney on Thursday, May 3, 2001, in Decatur, Indiana.

Roberta was a 1979 graduate of Jay County High School. She attended the Forgiven Church in Bluffton, Indiana. She had worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Berne, Indiana, Centennial for several years and as manager for three years at American Legion in Berne, Indiana. She was a life member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and a member of the American Legion Riders in Berne.

Loving survivors include her husband, Larry Maloney, Geneva, Indiana; sons Jason A. (Sue) Elzey, Bluffton, Indiana, and Preston M. Lewallen, Berne, Indiana; grandchildren Matthew Feasel and Lizzy Elzey; sisters Norma Smitley, Dunkirk, Indiana, and Jenny Schisler, Pennville, Indiana; brothers Donald R. (Bev) Salmon, Decatur, Indiana, Bob Pyle, Berne, Indiana, and Jim (Alice) Pyle, Berne, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her father John G. Pyle, mother Helen J. (Crawmer) Pyle, sisters June Hough, Thelma Kongar, Maxine Davis and Imogene Hart; and brothers John D. Pyle and Bill Pyle.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva, on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, from noon to 4 p.m.

A service to celebrate her life will follow at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, with Pastor Scott Ochsner officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Downing & Glancy Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
