TV listings discontinued
The Commercial Review is discontinuing its television listings section due to tariffs which have sent the price of newsprint soaring, publisher Jack Ronald said Friday.
“We’re sorry to have to make thiscut, because we know that many of our older readers depend on those listings,” Ronald said. “But the tariffs have forced our hand.”
Prices for Canadian newsprint have jumped 30 to 35 percent as a result of tariffs imposed by the Trump administration.
The listings are included in today’s edition, but they will not be published Sept. 1 and after.
