Richard and Priscilla Knoth, 116 Honeysuckle Lane, Portland, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today.
Priscilla Winans and Richard Knoth were united in marriage on Aug. 30,1958 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, by the Rev. Simeon Schmitt.
Residents of Jay County for 58 years, Richard is a retired excavating contractor and Priscilla is a retiredday care provider.
They are the parents of Priscilla Larsh, Veronica Mertz (husband: John), and David Knoth (wife: Nicole), all of Fort Wayne; Loretta Castle (husband: Dave), Mt. Pine, Arkansas; Sandra Orrell (husband: Steve), Hot Springs, Arkansas; Christopher Knoth (wife: Stephanie), Yorktown; and Matthew Knoth (wife: Amber), Honolulu, Hawaii. They have 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The couple will celebrate with a trip to Hawaii and an anniversary mass and reception with the bishop at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Lafayette.
