Meeting moved

Dunkirk Park Board’s meeting for this month has been moved to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at the library.

Deer struck 

An Ohio woman struck a deer with the car she was driving Sunday night. 

Jessica R. Smith, 20, Van Wert, Ohio, was driving north on county road 300 East near its intersection with county road 300 North when a deer ran into the roadway. She hit it with the 2008 Saturn Aura she was driving, causing an estimated $2,500 to $5,000 in damage. 

The Saturn is registered to Denis Smith, Van Wert, Ohio. 

The accident occurred at 9:27 p.m. 

Hit and run 

A Portland woman’s parked car was damaged by an unknown vehicle Tuesday night. 

Michelle L. LeMaster told Portland Police Department her 2006 General Motors Envoy was parked outside of her house on Middle Street Tuesday.

She noticed that someone had struck the side of her car, leaving white paint on it and a side mirror on the ground. The damage to her vehicle is estimated to be less than $1,000. 

The damage was reported at 8:30 p.m.
