Dorwin P. Teeters, 89, of Piqua, Ohio, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at his home.
He was born Oct. 10, 1929, in Fort Recovery to the late Glen and Zola (Brigner) Teeters. He married Doris J. Miller on Oct. 12, 1952, at the Mt. Zion Church of Portland, Indiana. A marriage spanning over 65 years, she preceded him in death Jan. 17, 2018.
Survivors include four daughters, Nancy (Dr. Donald) Collins of Troy, Ohio, Linda (Doug) Grise and Julie (Rob) Alexander, both of Piqua, Amy (Jon) Niemi of Troy; 14 grandchildren, Susie (Kyle) Rhodes, Tim (Julie) Collins, Kristen (Seth) Sanders, Dan (Naomi) Grise, Mindy (Kevin) Langston, Molly (Landon) Good, Megan (Michael)DeNise , Shelly (Chris) Rittenhouse, Stacey (Donny) Widney, Bethany (Daniel) Hickman, Caleb Niemi, Joshua Niemi, Elijah Niemi, Elizabeth Niemi; 17 great-grandchildren, Kent Rhodes, Seth Rhodes, Gracie Collins, Myla Rittenhouse, Wren Rittenhouse, Cannon Widney, Carter Widney, Cayson Widney, Wesley Hickman, Simon Hickman, Ethan Grise, Emma Grise, Kaden Langston, Luke Langston, Nora Langston, Josslyn and Eliza Good; and a brother, John Teeters of Piqua.
He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Dustin Griseand Benjamin Grise; and a sister, Clementine Gagle.
Teeters was a 1948 graduate of Fort Recovery High School and began his business career as a Fuller Brush Salesman with his brother John. In 1955, they founded the Teeters Products Company, a family business that still operates today.
He was a member of St. Paris Church of God and Fletcher Lions Club. He loved to travel the world, fishand hunt.
He will be remembered for his love of family and faith.
A service to honor his life will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor ScottStremmel officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paris Church of God, 122 E. Walnut St., St. Paris, OH 43072.
