Voyd Ullom
Voyd L. Ullom age 85, of Portland passed away Tuesday afternoon Dec. 25, 2018 in Miller's Merry Manor in Dunkirk. He was born in Portland Dec. 22, 1933 the son of Burleigh and Ethel Mae (Shindeldecker) Ullom.
He was married September 18, 1961 to Mary Fifer who survives. He had been superintendent of Portland Street Department, was an auctioneer, worked for Klopfenstein’s Blue Flame and City Cigar Store.
He served with the U.S. Army, was a 1951 Gray High School graduate, was a member of Tri-State Gas Engine and Tractor Association and attended First Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are his wife Mary, two sons Voyd Leroy Ullom (wife: Julie) of Portland and Lonnie Ullom (wife: Jodie) of Portland, four daughters Jennie Hovenstine (husband: Dave) of Portland, Deana Powell (husband: Rex) of Portland, Brenda Medaugh (husband: Steve) of Bluffton and Marilyn Rea of Portland, 22 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Randy Ullom.
Funeral services will be Saturday December 29, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Hundley presiding. Burial will follow in the Salamonia Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from noon until 1 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family.
