Richard Williams

Richard Williams, age 82, of Decatur, passed away early Wednesday at Visiting Nurse and Hospice in Fort Wayne.

He was born in Portland on Aug. 14, 1935, the son of Howard and Ettie (Ashley) Williams. He was married June 4, 1960, to Helen Haines who survives.

He had worked as a tow motor operator for Naas Foods.

Surviving are his wife Helen; one daughter, Amy Coyne (husband: Christopher) of Decatur; one brother, Doyle Williams of Portland; and two granddaughters, Ella and Hannah Coyne.

Celebration of Life services will be Friday at 6 p.m. in the New Life Ministries in Portland with Pastor Kay Fairchild presiding. The family will meet with guests after the service until 8 p.m. Memorials can be made to Visiting Nurse and Hospice.

Baird-Freeman Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
