Grace Evelyn Smith, 99, of Indianapolis, formerly of Clinton, died February 5, 2018 at 7:27 a.m. at University Heights Health and Living. She was born June 9, 1918 in Adams County, Indiana to Everet H Blowers and Ruth A. Buckey Blowers.
She was a 1937 graduate of Poling High School.
She was a homemaker and had been a kindergarten teacher for a short time. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Smith; sisters, Beverly Blowers and Flo Money; and a brother, Jack Blowers.
She is survived by three daughters, Sharon and Tom Smith of Clinton, Betty and Tom Boff of Greenwood, and Marilyn and Tim Hading of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Jared and Amanda Smith, Alyson and Zeth Lindsey; Mike Harding, and Michelle and Jason Riggs; step-grandson, Ryan Boff; great-grandchildren, Corbin Peppin, Jade Andres, Maya Riggs, Jonah Riggs, and Adalynn Lindsey; step-great-grandson, Ayden Boff; and one brother, Max Blowers of Bryant, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. on Thursday at Frist Funeral Home. Services will begin at 2 with Reverend Charlie Jackson officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at Frist Funeral Home, Inc. | Clinton Indiana funeral home
