Bob Hedges

Bob Hedges, 73, passed away peacefully at Ball Memorial Hospital on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018.

Bob was born on Feb. 16, 1944 to Robert and Pauline Hedges. He lived his entire life in Randolph County and worked at Glass Components, Jay Randolph Developmental Services and Silvertowne. Bob married Judy (Rinker) Hedges on Jan. 17, 1964. They were married for 50 years before her passing in February 2014.

Bob enjoyed being at home, watching racing, playing slots at the riverboat and talking about his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by one son, Robb (Terry) of Portland; one daughter, Shelly (Rick) Monfort of Winchester; three granddaughters, Ashley (Pavel) Stewart of Indianapolis, Amber (Avery) Walker of Winchester and Rileigh Monfort; two grandsons, Christopher Monfort and Joshua Monfort; two step-grandsons, Seth (Andrea) and Sean (Elisha), Spencerville, Ohio; one step-granddaughter, Stephanie (Darian) Spencerville, Ohio; one great-granddaughter, Aliana; two step-great-grandsons, Tucker and Aslann; and one step-great-granddaughter, Oakleigh, due to be born in July.

Funeral services for Bob will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, with Pastor Greg Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Farmland.

Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
