Blood drives will be held in Jay County

Due to severe winter weather causing cancellations of blood drives and the flu disrupting blood donations, the American Red Cross is urging healthy donors of all blood types to help maintain the blood supply for patients in need. 

Blood drives will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday  at Jay County Hospital, 500 W. Votaw St., and another will be from 2 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, at Bloomfield Elementary, 350 E. 500 North, Bryant.

Sweetheart dance

A Darke County Singles Sweetheart Dance will be held from 8 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, at the VFW Post No. 7262 Ballroom, 219 N. Ohio St. in Greenville, Ohio.
