Debby “Mimi” Dann, age 68, Albany, died Thursday Feb. 22, 2018, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an illness.
Born July 27, 1949, in Elwood, she grew up in Albany and graduated from Albany High School with the class of 1967. She was the office manager at Scheidler Spray for over 20 years and had also worked in the office at Vision Associates, Muncie.
Debby adored her grandchildren and enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a member of Albany Tri Kappa, a charter member of the Albany Beautification Committee, and volunteered for A Better Life – Brianna’s Hope.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, John Dann; four daughters, Lori (Green) Divens, Pendleton, Jennifer (Green) Hunt (husband: Chris), Redkey, Lisa (Dann) Belda, Portland, and Tina (Dann) Thorpe (husband: Tom), Sevierville, Tennessee; three brothers, Charles Wall (wife: Gale), West Carrollton, Ohio, William Wall (wife: Marianne), Montrose, Colorado, and Scott Wall (wife: Staci), Fort Wayne; a sister: Donna Rees (husband: Richard), Albany; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Belda (wife: Misty), Bluffton, Jordan Fields, Sevierville, Tennessee, Ryan Hunt, Vincennes, Jacob Ferguson, Redkey, Nate Divens, Pendleton, Rachel Hunt, Redkey, Gianna Thorpe, Sevierville, Tennessee, and Gabriella Thorpe, Sevierville, Tennessee; her mother-in-law, Doris Dann, Albany; a great-granddaughter expected in August; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved basset hound Rudy.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Vanita Wall and a grandson, Jered Ford.
A celebration of life service will be held 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany. Cremation was chosen.
Visiting hours will be held Monday from 2 until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
