Mildred “Midge” Green, 73, of Dunkirk, Indiana, passed away Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, after a heroic battle with Alzheimer's while in the company of family members at her residence.
Midge was born in Muncie, Indiana, on Aug. 6, 1944, a daughter of the late Ann L. (Smith) and Leslie l. Miller. She was a 1962 graduate of Dunkirk High School and received her cosmetology degree from Amber's Beauty College in Muncie, Indiana.
She was the wife of Clifford Green who she happily married on June 28, 1963.
Midge attended Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church in Dunkirk, Indiana, was a member of Crown City Squares and Delta Theta Tau Sorority. She was a Cub Scout leader, school bus driverand Cliff's Elks kitchen guru, and was known as the "Rural Neighborhood Mother.”
She is survived by her husband Clifford Green, of Dunkirk, Indiana; a son, Kevin A. Green (wife: Jill), of Dunkirk, Indiana; a daughter, Teresa R. Woloshin (husband: Mike), of Speedway, Indiana; a brother, Carl Silverthorn (wife: Linda), of Muncie, Indiana; a sister, BettyCantral , of Winchester, Indiana; and four grandchildren, Christopher (Amanda), Kyle (Lily), Nicholas and Nathan.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu offlowers the family requests donations be made to ARF or the Alzheimer's Association.
