Leona Worth

Leona (Bultemeier) Worth, 91, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, at Adams Heritage in Monroeville.

She was born on Saturday, June 12, 1926, in Wells County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Herman J. Bultemeier and the late Emma M. (Kiefer) Bultemeier. She married Arthur O. Worth on Oct. 7, 1950, in Adams County, Indiana and he preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1994.

Leona worked at Fort Wayne Wire Die from Aug. 29, 1944, to Aug. 27, 2001. 

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim in Decatur and American Legion Post #43 Auxiliary, and was a charter member of the Adams County Heart Club.

Survivors include her son, Weston W. (M. Susana) Worth of Decatur; a brother, Gilbert (Imogene) Bultemeier of Decatur; five grandchildren, Tony (Cristy) Worth, Numan (Stephanie) Garcia, Melissa (Christa) Garcia DeLarosa, Melissa (Jesse) Kelley and Daniel (Kandace) Worth; 15 great-grandchildren, Lauren (Tanner) Malone, Ashten Worth, Alexis Martinez, Aiden Kelley, Garrett Kelley, Abigail Kelley, Jordan John, Brianna Shivington, Alyvia Garcia, Emmelia Garcia, Alexis Hawkins, Hannah Hawkins, Ryleigh Contino, Lillian Contino and Tatiana DeLarosa; and two great-grandchildren on the way.

Leona was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Bultemeier, and two sisters, Erna Tuttle and Linda Striker.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim with the Rev. Daniel Dahling officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Friedheim.

Friends will be received from noon to 6 p.m., Saturday, March 3, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday.

Preferred memorials are to Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim or Adams County Heart Club.
