BERNE — The Tribe girls had to fend off a familiar foe.
The Starfire boys edged an Ohio opponent.
Fort Recovery High School’s girls swim team earned two more wins Tuesday, finishing first during a meet with the Minster Wildcats and the host South Adams Starfires.
The Indians scored 88 points, 13 ahead of Minster. South Adams totaled 52 for third place.
South Adams’ boys squad totaled 100 points, beating Minster by one. Fort Recovery had nine points.
Fort Recovery sisters Ava and Alexis Bubp both won a pair of events. Ava won the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events, while Alexis claimed the top spot in the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly.
Sophie Timmerman won the 100 breaststroke.
Cassy Martin, Autumn Burk, Alexis Bubp and Timmerman combined to win the 200 medley relay, while Martin, Timmerman and the Bubp sisters teamed for a victory in the 200 freestyle relay.
Ashley LeFever of South Adams won the 50 and 100 freestyle events, and Julia Grabau was first in diving.
Kam Yoder and Zach Colpaert had two victories apiece for the SAHS boys. Yoder handled the 200 IM and 100 butterfly, and Colpaert won both freestyle sprints.
Tyler Yoder (diving) and Trey Lehman (100 backstroke) also had victories.
Curtis Sprunger, Kam Yoder, Lehman and Colpaert combined to win the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
