Beam struck
A rural Portland teen was involved in an accident Sunday evening.
Henry D. Hemmelgarn, 17, was attempting to turn north onto county road 300 East from county road 300 South when his vehicle slid on snow, causing it to go off the road. His 2012 Dodge Ram struck a steel beam.
Damage in the 9:45 p.m. accident was estimated at $2,500 to $5,000.
Slid off road
A Redkey teen was involved in an accident Thursday night.
Bonnie R. Logan, 17, was traveling west on Indiana 26 just west of Division Road when she lost control of her vehicle. She slid off the west side of the road in her 2000 Toyota CXL, registered to Bonnie K. Garbacz.
Estimated damage in the 9:30 p.m. accident was $2,500 to $5,000.
Slid on ice
A Berne man was involved in an accident Saturday night.
Lane J. Moser, 23, was traveling north on county road 300 East when he tried to stop at the intersection with Indiana 26. He told police his 2012 Chevrolet Malibu slid on a patch of ice, causing him to lose control of the vehicle, which slid off the road and struck a stop sign.
Damage from the 8:25 p.m. accident was estimated at $2,500 to $5,000.
Deer hit
A Bryant teen was in an accident involving a deer early Sunday morning.
Jordan L. Schricker, 16, was driving east on county road 500 South when a deer ran onto the road. He was unable to avoid hitting the deer with the 2017 Dodge Journey he was driving. The vehicle is registered to Joseph A. Mong.
Estimated damage in the 4:53 a.m. accident was $2,500 to $5,000.
