William Fields

William “Bud” Fields Jr., age 50, a resident of Portland, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Jay County Hospital in Portland.

Bud was born on Nov. 4, 1967, in Jay County, Indiana, the son of William “Bill” Fields, Sr. and Kathy (Butcher) Fields. He was a client of Jay-Randolph Developmental Services in Portland where he enjoyed working in the workshop.

Survivors include:

His parents — William “Bill” and Kathy Fields, rural Portland, Indiana

One brother — Ernie Fields (wife: Amy), Portland, Indiana

One sister — Deborah White, Fort Wayne, Indiana

And several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.

Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Larry Eads will officiate and burial will follow in the Salamonia Cemetery.

Memorial may be directed towards the Jay Randolph Developmental Services.
