Doris J. Teeters, 84, of Piqua, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 3:48 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at the Upper Valley Medical Center.
She was born March 12, 1933, in Portland, Indiana, to the late Clara Miller. She married Dorwin P. Teeters at the Mt. Zion Church of Portland, Indiana, a wonderful marriage that would span over 65 years, and he survives.
Other survivors include four daughters, Nancy (Dr. Donald) Collins, Linda (Doug) Grise and Julie (Rob) Alexander, all of Piqua, and Amy (Jon) Niemi of Troy; 14 grandchildren, Susie (Kyle) Rhodes, Tim (Julie) Collins, Kristen (Seth) Sanders, Dan (Naomi) Grise, Mindy (Kevin) Langston, Molly (Landon) Good, Megan (Michael) DeNise, Shelly (Chris) Rittenhouse, Stacey (Donny) Widney, Bethany (Daniel) Hickman, Caleb Niemi, Joshua Niemi, Elijah Niemi and Elizabeth Niemi; and 13 great-grandchildren, Kent Rhodes, Seth Rhodes, Gracie Collins, Myla Rittenhouse, Cannon Widney, Carter Widney, Wesley Hickman, Ethan Grise, Emma Grise, Kaden Langston, Luke Langston, Nora Langston and Josslyn Good. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Dustin Grise and Benjamin Grise.
Mrs. Teeters loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart, mind and soul. She was a devout servant to her Lord through her guidance in Sunday School, Bible School and Women of the Church of God at St. Paris Church of God. She was also active with the Christian Women’s Club and Tots to Teens Mothers Club. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who will be missed by her loving family and many friends. She was a wonderful example of a Proverbs 31 woman.
A service to honor her life will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Kespelher officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paris Church of God, 122 E. Walnut St., St. Paris, OH 43072.
