Rhett Brown
Oct. 24, 2008-Jan. 24, 2018
Rhett Colin Brown, 9, of Dunkirk, Indiana, passed away peacefully in the arms of his mother and father Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, at Riley Hospital for Children of Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was born Oct. 24, 2008, in Muncie, Indiana the son of Paul Allen and Heather Alaine (Wesley) Brown. He was a third grade student at Westlawn Elementary of Dunkirk, Indiana.
Rhett enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching “Curious George” and “Barney” and playing in the water (whether at the beach on family vacations, the bathtub, the dog bowl or wherever he found the tiniest trace).
Rhett's contagious laugh and smile could make any not so good day brighter and he was famous with many for his belly wiggles, monster mouth face and his love of music that could surpass any big name musician. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Rhett knew he was so much more than just a 9-year-old boy — he was an entertainer and was destined to be a star in his own ways!!
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents; a twin brother, Rhoen Brown; a sister, Anna Brown; grandparents Phyllis and Arvin Brown of Dunkirk, Indiana; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Patricia Coffman and Gary Wesley Sr.
A service to celebrate Rhett’s life will be 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at Dunkirk Memorial Chapel of Dunkirk, Indiana. Cremation will follow.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4 p.m. to service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children, 705 Riley Hospital Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46202, and/or the family in care of Dunkirk Memorial Chapel.
