Dianna Lynn (Elwood) Smith, age 72, a former Portland resident, passed away Sunday Jan. 28, 2018, at Brookhaven Retirement Center in Brookville, Ohio.
Dianna was born March 6, 1945, in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of John and Lucille (Taff) Elwood. Dianna graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1963 and was a CNA at Jay County Hospital for over 20 years.
Dianna married Donald Lee Smith on June 25, 1966.
Survivors include:
Her loving husband — Donald Lee Smith, Brookville, Ohio
One daughter — Danielle L. Smith, Dayton, Ohio
One son — Devon L. Smith (wife: Laura), Portland, Indiana
One sister — Cheryl Dixon (husband: Fred), Portland, Indiana
Four brothers — John D. Elwood (wife: Connie), Highland, Michigan, Bill Elwood (wife: Sherry), Albany, Indiana, Jim Elwood (wife: Marcia), Louisville, Tennessee, and Tony Elwood (wife: Corina), Portland, Indiana
Seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
There will be no services.
