Kids can ride the bus

Jay County kindergarten students who will ride the bus to school are invited for a trial run.

Jay County Public Library’s annual school bus program will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Aug. 3.

Children and their parents can ride a school bus to an area school and learn about safety rules from the driver.

Children will be greeted at the school by a kindergarten teacher and will spend time in the classroom and on the playground.

The book “Forever Kozy” by Marilyn Borgia was given to the library in memory of Sandra (Whetsone) Lawrence by Elizabeth Baughn and Marilyn Borgia.

Prayer meeting

All area men and boys are invited to attend the Jay County Men of Prayer meeting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Richard’s Restaurant.

There will be fellowship, worship, prayer, Bible study and scriptural applications for life.
