William and Lillian Willoughby

William W. Willoughby, 73, of 10494 W. 300 South, Dunkirk, Indiana, passed away at 5:40 a.m. Monday, July 2, while in the company of family members at Miller’s Merry Manor. At 2:40 p.m., his wife of 53 years, Lillian Ann “Lee” Richmond Willoughby, 70, also passed away at Miller’s Merry Manor. The family has said they never went anywhere alone, always together.
Bill was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, on Feb. 21, 1945, a son of Betty E. Watkins Willoughby and French Willoughby Jr.
Lee was born on May 6, 1948, the daughter of Hess and Marie (Henderson) Richmond, in Maysville, Kentucky.
Bill and Lee were married on Nov. 14, 1964. They were co-owners of Bill and Lee’s Place in Dunkirk, Indiana.
Bill was a member of the Dunkirk Sons of The American Legion, Dunkirk Moose Lodge and Local 96 Flint Glass Workers Union, where he had worked as a maintenance man.
His loving wife Lee retired from Indiana Glass after 30 years in the sorting department.
Bill and Lee had a set of twin sons, James Willoughby (wife:Amendi ) of Dunkirk and Timmy Willoughby, who is deceased.
Bill had three brothers, George Willoughby of Pennville and Sidney and Robert (Bob) Willoughby, both deceased.
Lee had eight brothers, Charles, Ben, Donald, Bob, Jim, Sam, Danny and Ray Richmond, all deceased; and two sisters, Joyce Miller of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, and Mabel Crump, deceased.
They had six grandchildren, Nicholas Willoughby (wife: Ashley) of Albany, Indiana; Shan Willoughby (wife: Kaitlyn) of Lexington Park, Maryland, Shon Willoughby (wife: Lindsey) of Redkey, Indiana, Katelyn Grimes (husband: Casey) of Dunkirk, Indiana, Allie Willoughby of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Kasey Willoughby, deceased; and 10 great-grandchildren
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at MJS Mortuaries Redkey Chapel on Monday, July 9, 2018, together as always.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at MJS Mortuaries Redkey Chapel on Monday, July 9, 2018, together as always.
Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Dunkirk.
