Bible school to be held in Fort Recovery

First Church of Christ in Fort Recovery is having Vacation Bible School beginning Sunday for children in elementary school. Please arrive at 6 p.m. for registration.

VBS will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Ambassador Park through Thursday, July 26, with a closing program and swim party.

Library news

Clubs will meet in July and August at Jay County Public Library.

Hook & Needles Club will meet from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24 and Aug. 30. Bring your own supplies and ideas to share or items to brag on.

Writers Guild will meet at 6:30 p.m. on July 30 and Aug. 29.

Friends of the Library will have its used book sale in August at JCPL. 

It will be held from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, and Friday, Aug. 24, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 25.

Donations for the sale will be taken on Aug. 20 and 21 during library hours. Gently used books, movies, music, games and puzzles will be accepted in the Community Room.
