Sargents celebrated 50th anniversary
Jerry and Betty Sargent, 3047 S. 500 East, Hartford City, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Thursday.
Jerry married Betty Brenner on July 26, 1968, at the home of his parents, Ray and Ruth Sargent.
Betty retired from St. Gobain in Dunkirk and Jerry retired from Indiana Glass Company in Dunkirk and is groundskeeper for the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Dunkirk.
They are the parents of Jerry Sargent (Amy) and Tina Sargent (Kevin McCowan). They also have seven grandchildren.
The couple are planning to celebrate with an Alaskan cruise.
