Dwight F. Shaneyfelt, 62, Berne, passed away on May 30, 2018.
He was born to Fred and Lena Mae Neff Shaneyfelt on June 8, 1955, in New Castle, Indiana. He married Kathy Kuhn on Dec. 30, 2000, and she survives.
Dwight attended the Cross Community Church. He was employed at Universal Metal Craft, Decatur and presently at FCC in Berne and was a master welder. His interests included riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and bowling. Dwight was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army while in the Vietnam War and was a member of the Portland Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy; daughter Natalie Ann Shaneyfelt of Fort Wayne; son David Shaneyfelt of Florida; step-daughters Melissa (Charles) Loshe of Decatur and Crystal (Phil) Amstutz of Berne; brother Tony Shaneyfelt of Portland; sisters Mariam Shaneyfelt and Fredonna Horine, both of Portland; four grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother Brian Shaneyfelt.
Dwight requested no visitation or funeral services.
