Rosalind Binegar, age 79, of rural Portland, passed away Tuesday morning in IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
She was born April 9, 1939, the daughter of Burdell and Iva (Butcher) Brotherton. She married Herbert Binegar on Nov. 11, 1978, and he died June 13, 1988. She was a cook at the Jay County Hospital and also worked at Shellers and the retirement center.
She attended the Bryant Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are two sons, Bob Betz (wife: Mary) of Somerset, Kentucky, and Richard Brotherton (wife: Michelle) of Colorado; six daughters, Diane Lake (husband: Wayne) of Portland, Kathy Steen (Charlie Duff) of Brooklyn, Michigan, Jean Ault (husband: Melvin) of Pennville, Ann Lugar (husband: Jim) of Portland, Lisa Brown (husband: Dave) of Portland and Ginger Newland of Flagstaff, Arizona; one sister Wanda Arnold (husband: Jerry) of Bryant; two brothers, Wayne Brotherton (wife: Mary) of Portland and Randy Brotherton (wife: Vickie) of Bryant; 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 4 p.m. in the Bryant Wesleyan Church with Pastor Paul VanCise presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the church.
Memorials can be made to Diabetes Foundation or Kidney Foundation.
