Jay lucky to have The CR
To the editor:
We moved to Dunkirk in 1978. We have subscribed to The Commercial Review ever since that time and have lived in four other cities since 1989.
The Commercial Review is one of the best newspapers we have ever subscribed to read.
The Wednesday, June 6, edition was one that keeps us taking The Commercial Review. The story written by Jack Ronald about the Jim and Jenni Clear family in Hawaii and the column about his flight to Dayton were outstanding. Jack can write so many interesting stories. He is the reason we still subscribe.
I remember the day he came into my office in Hartford City and told me he was interested in purchasing The News-Times. I was thrilled to death.
Later, he came back to my office and told me The News-Times had already been sold.
It was then sad news. That was 1992.
The News-Times in Hartford City continued to be a daily paper until 2016. At that time they went to a weekly paper. That was another sad day.
The Commercial Review is such a good newspaper with so many interesting stories, both in the county and out of town and state. Jay County is so lucky to have The Commercial Review.
Let’s hope Jack Ronald can continue to publish such a good newspaper.
