Four-hit efforts power Pak-a-Sak

Three players each had four hits Tuesday to lead Pak-a-Sak to a 19-6, four-inning victory over Pioneer Packaging in Portland Junior League Rookie League baseball.

Alex Miller totaled four hits, including a home run and  a double, while scoring four times for Pak-a-Sak. Kadyn Carpenter also had four hits and four runs, and Caleb Sibray recorded four hits as well. Eli Homan finished 3-for-3.

Rayden Sollars had two hits, two runs and two RBIs to pace Pioneer.

In Monday’s action, Barnett’s defeated Pioneer 12-11. Varen Ridgway’s inside-the-park home run gave Barnett’s the walk-off win and completed his five-RBI day. Kenton Cochran added three hits. Sam Wiggins finished with three hits, three runs and three RBIs for Pioneer.

All Circuit wins

All Circuit topped Williams Auto Parts 9-4 Monday in Portland Junior League Rookie League baseball.

Bryor Garringer, Shawn Harrell and Kohen Stephens all finished 3-for-3 for All Circuit, which totaled 13 hits. Jaxson DeHoff and Logan Wendel added one hit apiece. Carter Hartman finished 2-for-3 for Williams.

Lions take two

Pennville Pantry Lions won a pair of tight games Saturday in Wildcat Division of Pennville Soccer League action, holding off Adair Processing Panthers 6-5 and topping Patriot Sportswear Tigers 2-0.

Caleb Clouse and George Weesner handled all the scoring for the Lions, tallying three goals apiece in the victory over the Panthers. They each had one in the win over the Tigers.

The top scorer of the weekend was Khloe Homan, who found the back of the net 11 times in the SerTech Heating & Air Conditioning Hornets’ 14-8 victory over the Progressive Office Products Bees in the Stinger Division.

•Carsten Penrod scored six times to lead I.D.C. Restaurant Properties Wasps to a 13-1 win over Montpelier Family Dentistry Yellow Jacks.

•Jacoby Penrod had four goals in Vinson Rental Properties’ 12-0 win over WPGW Radio Stars.

•Landon Ellison, Gracie Hidy and Max McClain III each had a goal to lift Bro Shadow Comets over Suman Bros. Pizza Meteors 3-1.

•Brenden Runyon totaled three goals to lead Hanlin Real Estate Jaguars over Adair Processing Panthers 11-0 and then scored five times in the Jaguars’ 5-3 triumph over the Tigers.
