Vera Archer

Vera Lynn Archer, age 68, a resident of Redkey, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018, at her home in Redkey. 

Vera was born on Jan. 4, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio, and raised in Eaton, Ohio, the daughter of Vernie and Mary Zonia (McGowan) Moore. She worked for Covington Commons, Chalet Village and Persimmon Ridge in Portland. Vera graduated from Ivy Tech in Richmond as an LPN. She married Marvin Archer on June 13, 1982.

Her husband — Marvin Archer, Redkey, Indiana 

Five daughters — Lisa Duncan (husband: Darren), New Paris, Ohio, Marcy Powers (husband: Mark), Dayton, Ohio, Katrina Thomas (husband: Adam), Pennville, Indiana, Mindy Ludwig (husband: Frank), St. Marys, Ohio, and Misty Ellsworth (husband: Korey), Portland, Indiana 

Four sons — Gary Lincoln, Dayton, Ohio, Ryan Lincoln, Dayton, Ohio, Corey Lincoln (wife: Carmen), Nampa, Idaho, and Marvin Archer II (wife: Mindie), Nampa, Idaho 

One brother — Vernie Moore (wife: Vickie), Middletown, Ohio

Three sisters — Verna Fudge, Eaton, Ohio, Vesta Moore, Arizona, and Van Gerwell, Newcomerstown, Ohio

Several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Williamson, Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland.

Funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Williamson, Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Burial will follow in Green Park Cemetery in Portland.

Pastor Danny Ellsworth will officiate the services.
