Three recent Honor Flight participants will be the featured speakers at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the June meeting of the Jay County Historical Society at the historical museum at the end of East Main Street in Portland.
Thurman Hisey and Jack Houck, who took part in a May 23 flight, and Salty Stults, who had taken part in a previous flight, will be sharing their experiences.
The public is invited to attend.
Need volunteers
LifeStream Cafe is looking for qualified volunteers to help serve lunch to senior citizens at Jay Community Center in Portland on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Volunteers will not be asked to work weekly unless that’s what they would prefer.
If you are interested in volunteering or want more information, stop at the Jay Community Center’s front desk and ask for Emily.
Dems gathering
The regular monthly meeting of the Jay County Democratic Party will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at party headquarters, 221 S. Meridian St., Portland.

Dean’s list
Kasey Vogel of Fort Recovery was named to Mount St. Joseph University's Spring 2018 Dean's List. Vogel is a sophomore in the field of middle childhood education.
To qualify for the Dean's List, an undergraduate student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher while enrolled in six hours or more of course work for a letter grade (excluding pass/fail courses).
Vogel was among the 43 percent of students named to the Mount St. Joseph University's Spring 2018 Dean's List.
