Burnette speaks at next session of lunch & learn

The next scheduled Senior Lunch and Learn at John Jay Center for Learning will be Thursday, July 5.

Lunch will be at 11:30 a.m., followed by a program presented by Curt Burnette from the Limberlost State Historic Site in Geneva.

He’ll be speaking on Gene Stratton Porter.

Trivia night

Tonight is trivia night at Jay County Public Library.

Folks will gather in the Community Room at 6:30 p.m. for three rounds of questions for adults and teens 16 and up.

There are prizes for round winners.

Dean’s list

Kaitlyn Pearson, Fort Recovery, has been named to the Dean’s List at the University of Saint Francis, where she is studying radiologic technology.

To make the Dean’s List, a student must complete 12 or more semester hours of class credit with a scholastic semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Animal show

JJ and the Silly Safari will bring their live animal show to Jay County Public Library next month.

The show features reptiles, mammals, birds and bugs and blends fact and fun for all ages.

It is set for 10 a.m. on Monday, July 16.
