Hopkins couple celebrates 50th
Jerry and Linda Hopkins, rural Portland, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today. Linda Moore and Jerry Hopkins were wed June 30, 1968 at Redkey Methodist Church.
Longtime residents of Randolph and Jay counties, they are both retired. Jerry is retired from Micromatic in Berne, while Linda is retired from Sheller-Globe Corp. and Bailey Corp. in Portland.
They are the parents of Sherry Rowles (husband: Jesse), Angela Smart, J.R. Hopkins (wife: Shauna), Monica Goble (husband: Earl) and Jeff Hopkins (fiancee: Kylee). They have 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
To celebrate the occasion, they will be attending their son Jeff’s wedding today.
