Book tasting is tonight in Fort Recovery

Book tasting
Fort Recovery Public Library will have a book tasting at 6 p.m. tonight.
A short presentation will be given to highlight resources available to help look for new books and authors. There will be light snacks.
The library is located at 113 Wayne St. Call the library at (419) 375-2869.
Regional Art Exhibit
The annual Arts Place Regional Student Art Exhibit is entitled “Seeds of Creativity.”
Exhibits will be on display beginning Friday and continue through April 15 at the Portland and Auglaize/Mercer centers, featuring work from local schools.
Opening receptions for friends, family and the community will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at both centers and exhibits can be viewed after.
The Portland Center is located at 131 E. Walnut St. in Portland. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each Friday.
The Auglaize/Mercer Center is located at 207 E. Spring St. in St. Marys, Ohio. It is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Rhoades tied
Olivia Rhoades, a seventh grade student at South Adams Middle School, recently tied for eighth place in the Journal Gazette Regional Spelling Bee.
She is the daughter of Bob and Cindy Rhoades of Geneva.
Dean’s list
Matthew Werling, Fort Recovery, was named to the fall semester dean’s list at Bowling Green State University.
Elijah Kahlig, Fort Recovery, was named to the University of Findlay (Ohio) fall semester dean’s list.
