Celebrate Spring at Fort library
Taking Note
Spring is here and Fort Recovery Public Library is celebrating with a special event.
Come and make a kite at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 2. The cost is $2 and free to Friends of the Library members. To register, call the library at (419) 375-2869.
The Book and Lunch club will meet at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4. They will discuss “Little Women” by Louisa May Alcott. Lunch at a local restaurant will follow. Everyone is welcome and copies of the book are available at the library, 113 N. Wayne St.
National Library Week will be celebrated April 8 to 14. Stop by to check out all the services available at the library and sign up to win a gift basket.
Blood drive
The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 3 at Jay Community Center, 115 E. Water St. in Portland. Call (800) 733-2767 or visit RedCross Blood.org to schedule an appointment.
