West Jay Middle School students were named to the honor roll for the third nine-week grading period.
Students making the all A honor roll in sixth grade were Madyson Fraley, Hayden Hardman, Parker Nichols, Erin Ring, Alana Trissel and Laila Waddell.
In seventh grade were Alex Ardizzone, Courtney Benter, Danyelle Bland, JaiDi Brunson, Zander Champ, Haylea Hough, Abigail Johnson, Liberty Keller and Julian Vance.
In eighth grade were Madeline Ardizzone, Aaron Funkhouser, Madison Hammers and Nadia Hardman.
Sixth graders making the A-B honor roll were Jason Ayala, Mackenzie Brown, Trevin Dunnington, Jackson Edwards, Liam Garringer, Willow Hardy, Mollie Hines, Reece Leavell, Sarah McClain, Ava Miller, Matthew Miller, Makinsey Murphy, Emma Outcalt, Kaley Pettus, Samantha Sager, Aiden Stephens and Rebecca Wengerd.
Seventh graders were Gabriela Bilbrey, Jaydence Brannon, Taylor Brown, Spencer Caldwell, Thomas Charles, James Clark Jr., Raven Dale, Abbie Fields, Jaiden Fields, Paige Gillette, Paige Mumbower, Dominick Newsome, Dylan Plessinger, Marisa Posocco, Grace Shimp, Kailey Vance, Tavin Wasson, Jaiden Watson and Isaiah Weekley.

Spring break fun
Jay County Public Library, 315 N. Ship St. in Portland, has lots of fun activities planned for kids next week during spring break.
Learn origami, the Japanese art of paper folding, anytime from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday..
Kids can play with K’nex, Legos, Lincoln Logs and Tinker Toys between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
The fun continues with Movie Mania on Wednesday. “Hop” will be shown at 1 p.m. and Disney’s “Coco” will play at 6 p.m. Popcorn will be served. Children younger than 10 should be accompanied by an adult.
Duplo and Lego bricks will be available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
The week wraps up with Puppet Palooza on Friday, March 30. Create a puppet using provided materials between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday and then put a puppet show on in the puppet theatre.
There will also be a spring bunny scavenger hunt all week.
Adult club meeting this month are Writers Guild meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday. The club will continue its short story ghost writing challenge.
Hook & Needles Club will meet from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Bring a project to work on or learn how to crochet from other crafters.
