Gregory Pogue, age 67, of Redkey, passed away Thursday evening at his residence.
He was born in Portland on Jan. 8, 1951, the son of Ralph and Dollie (Keen) Pogue. He was married Feb. 11, 2016, to Connie Abernathy, who survives.
He was a retired truck driver and also had worked for the City of Celina (Ohio) and REMC. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and a 1969 Portland High School graduate.
Survivors are his wife Connie; one son, Neal Pogue (wife: Sherri) of Geneva; one daughter, Nikki Smith (husband: Troy) of Celina; one brother, Everett “Butch” Pogue of New Madison, Ohio; four sisters, Georganna Ferguson (husband: John) of Portland, Pam Rowles (husband: Tom) of Portland, Valerie Shepherd (husband: Gerald) of Dunkirk and Gini Clem of Portland; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials can be directed to the family to help with funeral expenses.
