Chad E. VanSkyock

Chad E. VanSkyock, 26, Portland, passed away March 24, 2018. He was born Aug. 24, 1991, the son of Robert and Sheila (Smith) VanSkyock in Richmond, Indiana.

Chad was an avid sports fan, especially of the Indiana Pacers, Butler Bulldogs and Indianapolis Colts. He also enjoyed playing poker and spending time with friends and family.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Robert and Sheila (Smith) VanSkyock of Portland, Indiana; brothers, Shane VanSkyock of Greenville, Ohio, and Jason VanSkyock of Muncie, Indiana; nieces Addilyn and Adrianna VanSkyock; nephew Colten VanSkyock; paternal grandparents Robert (Patricia I.) VanSkyock of Portland, Indiana; maternal grandparents Clifford (Sandra) Smith of Geneva, Indiana; aunts and uncles Deb VanSkyock of Portland, Indiana, Ivan (Julie) VanSkyock of Muncie, Indiana, Sonja McPherson of Decatur, Indiana, Cliff Smith Jr. of Geneva, Indiana, Sheryl (Ed) Wheeler of Geneva, and Robert Cooper of Portland, Indiana.

He was preceded by an aunt, Sharon Cooper.

A celebration of life gathering will be held Friday, March 30, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc., 400 W. Deerfield Road, Union City, Indiana. Burial will be held later at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to; A Better Life – Brianna’s Hope, 115 E. Water St., Portland, IN 47371, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
