Sara Muhlenkamp, a student at Jay County High School, has her painting “One Nation Under God” exhibited in the 2018 Congressional Art Competition, sponsored by Congressman Jim Banks.
JCHS art teacher Kathy Ayers is asking the public’s help to vote for the painting as part of the People’s Choice Award.
To vote, visit Congressman Banks’ Facebook page. The deadline to vote is 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

The spring speaker series continues at John Jay Center for Learning with “The History of Mystery” from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday; “The Ball Jar: Each One Tells A Story” from 2 to 3:15 p.m. Thursday; “Edgar Allen Poe: Buried Alive” from 2 to 3 p.m. on May 10; and “Ten Buildings That Changed America” from 2 to 3:15 p.m. on May 17.
