Johannses are celebrating 50th anniversary

Former Portland residents Phil and Cheryl Johanns, of Paulding, Ohio, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the K of C Hall in Paulding. 

Phil married Cheryl Cramer on Feb. 24, 1968, in Paulding. 

Cheryl is retired after working for several employees through the years and Phil is  retired from Portland Forge.

The couple are the parents of Dave Johanns (Brenda), Dunkirk, Rob Johanns (Saskia), Cecil, Ohio, Kevin Johanns, Muncie, and Terri Fortman, Coldwater, Ohio. They also have eight grandchildren.

They ask that gifts be omitted.
