John Bricher

John H. Bricher, age 79, Bryant, passed away early Saturday morning at IU Health Jay.
He was born in Portland on April 24, 1939, the son of Otto and Anna Victoria (Hartnagel) Bricher. He was married May 7, 1960, to Judith Ann Holly who survives. He was retired from ABB (formerly Westinghouse) in Muncie. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Men's Sodality and Limberlost Square Dancers, and was a 1957 Bryant High School graduate.
Surviving are his wife Judith Ann; three daughters, Beth Pickett (husband: Jim) of Portland, Pam Hawbaker (husband: Lynn) of Geneva and Susan Lawrence (husband: Matt) of Columbia City; one sister, Patricia Stewart of Burlington, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Ken Ault presiding. Burial will follow in the Holy Trinity Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to the Jay County Cancer Society.
