Pablo Reyes

Pablo C. “Paul” Reyes, age 67, of Portland, passed away Saturday in the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

He was born in Hughes, Arkansas, the son of Isabel and Maria (Reyes) Castillo. He was married July 9, 1988, to Lisa Landess who survives. He retired in 2011 from General Electric. He served in the U.S. Air Force and the National Guard. He was a member of American Legion Post #211 and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife Lisa; one son, Paul Reyes (wife: Colleen) of Albion, Indiana; two daughters, Regina Reyes-Perez (husband: Robert) of Fort Wayne and Coryne Gonzalez (husband: Santino) of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Isabel Castillo (wife: Juanita) of Portland and Benito Castillo of Pennville; five sisters, Ramona Reyna of Adrian, Michigan, Frances Watson (husband: William) of Portland, Josephine Smith (husband: Sam) of Portland, Janie Meehan (husband: John) of Portland and Christina Byers (husband: Bob) of Portland; in-laws Jerry and Mary Landess of Portland; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Isabel and Maria Castillo and a brother, Jose “Joe” Castillo.

Prayer services will be held Friday at 6 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. Memorials can be made to American Legion Post #211.
