Phillip Lee Jarrett, age 47, passed away May 2 at his daughter’s home in North Carolina.
He was born Tuesday, March 9, 1971, to Tommy Joe and Louise (Berkey) Jarrett in Marion. He attended Jay County schools.
He and his wife Karen (Kinder) drove truck together for 20 years. For a couple of years they lived in Key West, Florida, doing packing and storage.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Jim Wines; grandparents Harold and Maxine Jarrett, and Harold W. and Pearl Berkey; and his uncle, Harold E. Berkey.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Karen; his mother, Louise Wines of Pennville; three sisters, Sherry Jarrett of Dunkirk, Angie Loser of Elwood and Cindy Cordial (husband: Hubert) of Kentucky; two brothers, Thomas Jarrett of Berne and Robert Jarret (wife: Lydia), New Jersey; four daughters, Ashley Jarrett, Christy Moore (husband: John) of North Carolina, Monica Lee (husband: David) and Stephanie Jarrett; two sons, Brian (wife: Emily) and Johnathan Rowles (wife: Kayla); an aunt, Elna Farrell (husband: Scott) of Texas; 13 grandchildren; and 18 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Olive Branch Church of the Nazarene, 7981 E. 205 North, Hartford City, Indiana, with the Rev. Matthew Phillips officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
