Imogene Bentz

Imogene D. Bentz, age 89, 100 Canterbury Lane, Portland, passed away Tuesday morning in Albany Healthcare.

She was born in Pennville on March 1, 1929, the daughter of Dennis and Flora (Shawver) Morgan. She was married Jan. 21, 1956, to Marvin L. Bentz and he died Sept. 1, 2013. She was a homemaker and was a member of American Legion Auxilary, Moose Lodge and D.A.V. Auxiliary.

Surviving are one daughter, Diana Thompson of Cadiz, Kentucky; two granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Don Zlaty presiding. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Pennville. Visitation will be Monday from noon to 2 p.m.. Memorials can be made to choice of the donor.
