TROY, Ohio — The Indians are seeded first in three events.
In three others, the Tribe is on the verge of state berths.
Robby LeFevre earned two top seeds and helped a relay do the same from the OHSAA Division III Regional Track and Field Meet on Wednesday.
The finals resume at 5 p.m. Friday. The top four places in each event advance to the state finals, which are slated for June 1 and 2 at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium at Ohio State University.
LeFevre, a junior, broke his own school record in the 200-meter dash with his time of 21.96 seconds. He is almost a half second ahead of Waynesfield-Goshen’s Tyler Eller, the No. 2 seed, whom LeFevre beat in the district meet last week. Gabriel James, also of Waynesfield-Goshen, is third.
The FRHS junior had a time of 11.1 seconds to earn the top seed in the 100 dash, once again ahead of Eller and James.
He then anchored the 4x100 relay team of Riley Pearson, Jacob Acheson and Brayden Schoen that finished in 44.93 seconds and will be seeded first Friday.
The 4x400 relay team of Owen Moorman, Jared Timmerman, Drew Muhlenkamp and Acheson set a new school record in 3 minutes, 32.05 seconds, to earn the No. 2 seed.
Pearson, Timmerman, Schoenand LeFevre are seeded second in the 4x200 relay in 1:32.3.
Cassy Martin, a junior, will be seeded fourth Friday in the 400 dash with her time of 59.56 seconds.
Timmerman was eighth in the long jump at 19 feet, 7.75 inches, to score one point for Fort Recovery.
Kiah Wendel had her career end as she was 13th in the 100 dash.
Moorman also placed 15th in the 400 dash.
