The TinCaps lost for the third consecutive game Wednesday, falling 2-1 to the West Michigan Whitecaps at Fifth Third Ballpark in Comstock, Michigan.
Fort Wayne (20-25), which wraps up a four-game set against the Whitecaps at 7:05 p.m. tonight, fell behind in the first inning to West Michigan (26-19).
The TinCaps tied the game in the third as Robby Podorsky hit a double to the corner in left field, scoring Jalen Washington from third.Esteury Ruiz was thrown out at the plate attempting to score from third.
West Michigan scored the eventual game-winning run in the sixth.
Aaron Leasher allowed two runs — one earned — on six hits with three strikeouts and three walks.
Justin Lopez, Luis Almanzarand Podorsky both had two hits for the Tincaps.
