Jack Moser
Jack L. Moser, age 82, of Portland, and a former Bryant resident, passed away Monday in IU Health Jay hospital.
He was born in Jay County on July 31, 1935, the son of Harold and Irene (Franks) Moser. He was married June 23, 1956, to Mary Chowning who survives.
He retired in 1998 from Franklin Electric in Bluffton. He was a 1954 Poling High School graduate, and a member of Union Chapel Church and Tri-State Gas Engine and Tractor Association.
Surviving are his wife Mary; four brothers, Max Moser of Bryant, Kenneth Moser of Bryant, Clifford Moser of Portland and Duane Moser of Bryant; two sisters, Betty Brumbaugh of Portland and Barbara Booth of Geneva; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, John Moser.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastors Herb Hummell and Mike Morgan presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. Memorials can be made to the choice of the donor.
