LifeStream, Recovery Works and other organizations are partnering to offer medication lunch and learn sessions.
The events will offer information about medication management and disposal, community resources, veterans programs and state assistance. They are free and open to the public and are recommended to older adults, health care providers, counselors and law enforcement officers.
All sessions are scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon. The session in Jay County is scheduled for Nov. 14 at Holiday Inn, 100 Holiday Drive, Portland. There is also a session scheduled for Thursday at Randolph Inn in Winchester.
Series set
John Jay Center for Learning fall speaker series will continue at 2 p.m. Thursday with William Robertson, a retired senior scientist at Westinghouse Electric Corporation. He will facilitate a program on an ancient Greek device that may have been the earliest computer.

Classes scheduled
Mercer Health in Coldwater, Ohio, will hold childbirth education classes from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Nov. 14. For more information, visit mercer-health.com.
