Daniel Rogers
Paul Daniel Rogers, age 40, of rural Redkey, passed away Saturday morning at IU Health Jay.
He was born in Muncie on Nov. 28, 1977, the son of Jerry Rogers and Ruth McIntire. He worked for FCC (Adams) in Berne and was a journeyman electrician and member of IEBW Electrical Union. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a 1997 Jay County High School graduate.
Surviving are his daughter Lilly Rogers of Redkey; father and step-mother Jerry and Kelly Rogers of Redkey; mother Ruth Paul of Fort Myers, Florida; three brothers, Christopher Rogers (wife: Kaitlyn) of Muncie, James Rogers (wife: Jill) of Keystone and Matthew Rogers (wife: Alicia) of Alcoa, Tennessee; three sisters, Katherine Berkey (husband: Mark) of Fort Wayne, Kristin Seiter (husband: Paul) of Redkey and Angela Rogers of Redkey; cousin David McIntire of Greenwood; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Davis presiding. Burial will follow in Bluff Point Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post #211.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. Memorials can be made to Brianna's Hope.
