Judy Brandenburg

Judy F. Brandenburg, age 72, a former Portland resident, passed away Sunday morning.

She was born Nov. 18, 1945, in Banner Springs, Tennessee, the daughter of Elbert and Velva Dalton (Miller) Cook. She was married Jan. 3, 1990, to Dorwin Brandenburg, who passed away March 9, 2012.

She had worked for Littler Diecast in Albany and retired from Borg-Warner in Muncie. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Portland.

Surviving are her son Danny Wright (fiancé: Jennifer) of Columbia, Tennessee; daughter Harvetta Wright-Mims (husband: Larry) of Anderson; grandson Joshua Neal of Anderson; and niece Debbie Lee (husband: Robert) of Monteray, Tennessee, and her children Justin and Nathaniel.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Fellowship Baptist Church in Portland with Pastor Hugh Kelly presiding. Private burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church. Baird-Freeman Funeral Home in Portland is in charge of arrangements.
