Fort Recovery exhibits will open

The new exhibits in Fort Recovery are ready to go on display.

An official presentation of the 15 new wayside exhibits, which provide a battlefield tour throughout the community, is scheduled for Sunday. Fort Recovery State Museum will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in conjunction with the event.

The presentation will include mini-tours of the wayside exhibits with Ball State University personnel leading the way. The museum’s new online battlefield tour will also be available.

At 2 p.m., artist Dan Keyes will sign his recently completed 1791 Battle Mural.

Library activities

Jay County Public Library will host several events this month, including a do-it-yourself session about home winterizing at 6 p.m. Monday.

In conjunction with Jay County Chamber of Commerce’s Winterfest celebration, the library will host a free showing of the movie “The Man Who Invented Christmas” at 6 p.m. Nov. 30 and a Minnetrista Theater Group presentation of “An Adaptation of a Christmas Carol” at 1 p.m. Dec. 1.

A Friends of the Library meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Nov. 20.



 

Get help

LifeStream Services is hosting a series of Medicare Part D consultation sessions with State Health Insurance Program counselors.

Participants can enroll for the first time or change their existing plan. Those who attend should also bring their Medicare cards and a list of their medications.

Sessions are scheduled for:

•9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 19 at IU Health Jay.

•9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 16 at Farmland Community Center.
