We're missing the big picture
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
Given the slaughter of innocents in the last couple weeks by American citizens, the nation’s agitation over the caravan is beyond ironic. An American citizen stands accused of mailing pipe bombs and we worry about Islamic terrorist infiltrating our domestic tranquility?
The ultimate irony? The president saying that if there had been armed security at the Living Tree synagogue the carnage would have been lessened. There was a security guard at the nightclub where 12 innocents were murdered … he was shot as well.
We seem as a nation to be unable to see the forest but for the trees. As Pogo said: “We have met the enemy and he is us.”
